2.1 What information the App stores

The App stores the following types of information “locally on the device”

  • User-entered financial data cash book entries, transactions (income/expense)
  • Debts (owes me/ I owe)
  • Price product counter (Pcp)
  • Categories, notes, amounts, dates.
  • App settings and preferences display preferences, theme, onboarding completion, local settings.
  • We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on our servers or third-party cloud services.

2.2 Where and how data is stored

Data is stored locally on your device using “Hive” (a lightweight local database) and/or SharedPreferences (for small key-value settings).

There is no automatic cloud backup or synchronization provided by the app. All data remains on the device unless you choose to export or backup manually via your device backups or export features.

3. How We Use Your Information

Ogaal Cash Book uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To notify you about changes to our service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service when you choose to do so

4.Security measures

We employ standard on-device storage practices. Hive and SharedPreferences are used responsibly to avoid accidental data loss.

While data is stored locally, no storage method can be 100% guaranteed users should protect their device (PIN, biometrics, encryption) and avoid sharing it.

5. Backups, exports, and deletion

Manual export If the app provides an export feature (CSV, PDF, etc.), it will create a file that the user can save or share. Exported files are handled by the user and may be stored separately.

Deletion Users can delete data from within the app. Deleting data from the app removes it from the local storage on that device.

Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device (subject to OS behavior—some OS backups might retain copies if enabled).

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data:
